It's All About The Little Things (for the office)

When you work from home, it can be easy to get caught up in the "bigger is better" mindset. After all, if you're used to working in a traditional office setting, then chances are you're used to having a lot of space to spread out. But just because you have a smaller workspace at home doesn't mean that you can't be just as productive - or even more so! - than you were in a bigger office. One way to make the most of your space is to carefully select the right office supplies for your needs. Here's a quick guide to help you choose the best office supplies for your home business.

The first step is to take inventory of what you already have. Do you have a filing cabinet that's half-full? A bookshelf with more empty space than filled? Or are your surfaces so cluttered that it's difficult to find anything? Once you know what you have, then you can start thinking about what you need. And when it comes to office supplies, less is often more.

The next step is to consider your work style. Are you someone who likes to spread out and have everything within easy reach? Or do you prefer to keep things tidy and organized? If you like having everything at your fingertips, then a desk with plenty of surface area is a must. But if you prefer things neat and tidy, then a smaller desk with built-in storage might be a better option.

Once you've taken inventory of what you have and considered your work style, it's time to start shopping for office supplies! When choosing items like pens, paper, and notebooks, think about quality over quantity. Yes, it's tempting to buy in bulk when office supplies are on sale, but if those items are going to end up sitting in a drawer unused, then they're not doing you any good. Instead, focus on buying a few high-quality items that will actually get used.

Here are some of my favs:

Choosing the right office supplies for your home business doesn't have to be difficult - or expensive! By taking inventory of what you already have, considering your work style, and investing in high-quality items that will actually get used, you can create a functional and stylish workspace that will help you be more productive than ever before.
